Dr. William McClintock
Dr. William McClintock, more comfortably known as "Doc" to his many friends and clients, has been the primary veterinarian at Country Village Animal Clinic since he founded it in 1987. Dr. McClintock is originally from Louisburg, KS and is a DVM graduate of Kansas State University. "GO WILDCATS" Always comfortable around any species of animal, Dr. McClintock is a pet lover and advocate and is extremely helpful to clients with horses and cattle. He enjoys implementing the most modern veterinary equipment such as Laser Therapy, Infrared Digital Scanner, Digital Radiology and an In House Blood Testing Lab for accurate diagnosis. He is proud to say that the mission of Country Village Animal Clinic is to be the most progressive and client friendly vet clinic in the area. Small animal surgery is another passion of Dr. McClintock's. From routine elective surgery like spays and neuters, to more advanced procedures such as orthopedics, C-sections and bladder stone removal, Dr. McClintock is experienced.

In addition, to veterinary medicine, Dr. McClintock enjoys gardening, horseback riding and traveling with his family. Water sports do not make the list, however.
You may often see Dr. McClintock in the office well before the clinic opens and most days well after closing. He even takes time to walk the boarding pets if the staff needs a little help. Anytime you call the emergency number at Country Village, you can rest assured Doc will answer...unless he is out of the country for some reason. He does love being a veterinarian and when asked "Would you have rather been anything but a veterinarian?"Dr. McClintock is quick to answer. "NO!! This is the most rewarding career in the world." One thing you will always see with Dr. McClintock is his little friend, BIZEE. They are inseparable. Check out the photos to get to know Dr. McClintock in his everyday environment.

lorettaLoretta McClintock
Meet Loretta McClintock and "Gloria", one of her favorite horses. Loretta is the Supervisor of the clinic and wife of Dr. McClintock.
The McClintocks founded Country Village Animal Clinic in 1987, and Loretta has been a part of the business since day one.

She is a local, having graduated from Moravia High School and from there Iowa State University with degrees in Animal Science and Journalism and a minor in English. Loretta was employed as a Veterinary Pharmaceutical Rep in Nebraska before moving back home to Iowa.

Horses are a favorite passion, with the current discipline of REINING being a new venture. Barrel Racing, Western Showing and Thoroughbred Horse Racing/Breeding have all been previous horse related hobbies and loves. Other interests are her children, Ben, a Chiropractor in Michigan, and Claire, her daughter, who is also an avid horse fan and accomplished rider. Travel and whales also make her happy.

Loretta's duties at Country Village are numerous and she enjoys them all. "Being excited about going to work every day is a blessing. Whether assisting clients, assisting Dr. McClintock or training the staff and managing the day to day activities of a busy veterinary practice, I love my job! The best part of my day is when I see that we are helping a person or a pet resolve a health issue and make their life a little more pleasant."

Loretta's pet family includes Gloria, her reining horse, Cash, the semi-retired barrel racing horse, Joker, the orphan Thoroughbred raised at the vet clinic who went on to win at Prairie Meadows Racetrack. Bizee the spoiled Pomeranian and Rori the clinic cat. AND, there are always young horses in training that usually become favorites.
